Olivier Martinez, star of Blood and Chocolate, recently split with Kylie Minogue and, as if reports of infidelity during the high profile relationship weren’t bad enough, he’s had to fend off rumors that he’s already moved on from Kylie to Oscar-nominated star Penelope Cruz. Monsters and Critics reports that Cruz has been a “rock” for Martinez but that she’s just a friend to the actor and nothing more.

Penelope Cruz was seen with Olivier Martinez at the Chateau Marmont just hours after the world learned of his split from Kylie. The two were hugging but it appears that hug may have been more out of consolation and romantic affection.
Penelope told the Daily Mirror, “Olivier and I have been friends for seven years, we are very close. You can understand that it’s a difficult time for him right now, so I have been there for him to offer support. And it was lovely seeing him the other day, it has been such a long time.”
Cruz called Olivier Martinez a “charming man” but insisted that the embrace they shared at the hotel was completely innocent. “He is a great guy, but no, nothing happened.”
