Paris Hilton was ordered back to jail on Friday after her brief stint under house arrest. Paris, in tears and screaming for her mother, was taken to the downtown Twin Towers detention center, a L.A. County jail facility.

Paris spent her first night back in the medical ward at Twin Towers.  She is in a room by herself with a glass door. For her protection, a sergeant guards the door at all times. Paris has not eaten or slept since her return to jail.
Sources  described Paris’ condition as “fragile” and “despondent.” One source called her “a train wreck” while another said she is “sullen and withdrawn.”

Paris said on Saturday she was “learning and growing” from her time behind bars and will not appeal her 45-day jail sentence.

“Being in jail is by far the hardest thing I have ever done,” Hilton said in a statement released by her lawyer, Richard A. Hutton. “During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to think and I believe that I am learning and growing from this experience.”

Guess what?  Sheriff Lee Baca, the sheriff that earlier released Paris Hilton received donation for his re-election campaign last year from Paris Hilton’s granddad, William Barron Hilton.  Oops! Do you smell “Guilt” anywhere?

Apparently, Sheriff Baca has been accused of favouritism towards the Hollywood elite in the past.

Celebrities including Sylvester Stallone and Dustin Hoffman have backed his election campaigns since 1998.

Last summer, Sheriff Baca was at the centre of a row when he failed to report Mel Gibson’s anti-Semitic tirade after he was arrested for drink-driving.

Gibson had filmed TV adverts for one of Sheriff Baca’s pet causes – an education fund for policemen’s children.

Sheriff Baca insists that he released Hilton because she was suffering from a worsening medical problem.
