Natalie Portman is to star opposite Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal in ‘Brothers‘, the new film from Irish director Jim Sheridan. Variety reports that the drama is a remake of the multi award-winning Danish film ‘Brødre‘, which was directed by Susanne Bier.
It’s a story of a man (Maguire) who is sent to fight in Afghanistan while his misfit brother (Gyllenhaal) cares for his wife (Portman) and child.

Sounds like Portman has to somehow make out with Tobey Maquire or Jake Gyllenhaal or both. I could be wrong so don’t quote me. In either case, it’s still way better than playing lover to Jason Schwartzman as she did in “Hotel Chevalier“. That’s just my thinking!
