Meet pregnant man! Thomas Beatie, a transgendered man who says he is pregnant, told his story in The Advocate magazine. An American man who used to be a woman says he’s more than five-months pregnant with a girl. ( see video below)
Thomas Beatie, a transgendered man who lives in Oregon, tells his story in a first-person account published in The Advocate — a magazine for lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered people.
In the story, Beatie reveals that he is legally male and married to a woman named Nancy.
“Sterilization is not a requirement for sex reassignment, so I decided to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy but kept my reproductive rights,” he says in the article.
Beatie said he stopped taking his testosterone injections to get pregnant. He claims to have already gone through an ectopic pregnancy.
Beatie said it was a “life-threatening event” that resulted in the loss of all the embryos (he had triplets) and his right fallopian tube.
Now, his second time getting pregnant, Beatie says the pregnancy is free of complications.
“How does it feel to be a pregnant man? Incredible,” he says in the article.

One question: Can someone tell me how do they explain to their kids or in this case, kid when she grows up? I totally dig gays and lesbians, it’s your life, it’s your freedom of choice but that’s a brand new life we are talking about. God bless America!

i want a answer to my question tht does wife of this transgendered guy cant get pregnant as he is not totolly a man..wat his wife does ?i mean where does she goes for getiing sexual satisfaction? as this guy is not able to make her pregnant…pls answer this

shumaela…i can’t understand everything you are trying to say, but this guy has a penis and from what I understand is able to do everything except get his wife pregnant. Since it was impossible for him to get her pregnant and he still had his female reproductive organs, he decided to carry the baby for his wive. I’m sure she’s able to get sexual satisfaction in their relationship. Even though I agree with you and don’t find this whole situation sexually appealing, everyone is different. And if it floats their boat, I got no problem with it as long as they are good people and going to be good parents.
To the first entry: She can try different things like a) masturbation, b) having Mr. Beatie use a dildo, c) oral sex. My point is that sexual satisfaction does not only come with penis-vaginal intercourse. Personally, I’m excited to see the legal and policy ramifications this case have. I hope it can be used to legitimize that transgender people can be as good parents as heterosexual couples.
