Katie Rees Avoids Jail Time
Katie Rees, the dethroned Nevada beauty queen has taken a plea deal, agreeing to pay fines for five misdemeanor traffic violations while a resisting arrest charge against her is dropped. Rees a former Miss Nevada USA, avoided trial by pleading no contest to speeding, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance and driving with an expired registration, a suspended license and suspended registration.
She agreed to pay up to $1,312 in fines.
Prosecutors agreed to drop a misdemeanor criminal resisting arrest charge that could have gotten Rees up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if she was convicted. – Fox
