Hip-hop star Remy Ma is planning to marry rapper Papoose while in a New York jail.

Remy, the Grammy-nominated star is currently awaiting sentencing in Rikers Island prison for shooting a woman. Her lawyer Ivan Fisher told Reuters: “They’re very committed to each other, and had intended to marry one way or another.”

Only two guests will be allowed at the ceremony in the prison, which conducts 200 weddings a year. Wow!

Remy Ma, real name Remy Smith, faces a sentence of up to 25 years after she was found guilty of shooting a friend outside a nightclub in July 2007.

The court was told Remy thought the woman, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, had stolen $3,000 from her.
