Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were married Saturday evening in an intimate ceremony in her parents’ home in L.A. Congratulations! The report says that Simpson’s father Joe performed the non-denominational ceremony, while her sister Jessica Simpson acted as maid of honour. Guess who’s the ringbearer? Wentz’s English bulldog, Hemingway! Now that’s different!

According to People magazine, a spokesperson confirmed that the marriage ceremony had taken place on Saturday evening.
“We’re delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends,” the spokesperson said.
Among the 150 guests in attendance were Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.
