Dr. Drew Pinsky – the psychologist to the stars, former MTV Loveline host and Celebrity Rehab counselor – set off a war of words with Tom Cruise.  Dr. Drew was interviewed for an upcoming issue of Playboy Magazine and had some things to say and mentioned a few stars’ names.

One such star is Tom Cruise.  This is what Dr. Drew said:

 ”A lot of people in the public eye who behave strangely have mental illness we can learn from, and much of it is based on childhood trauma, without a doubt,” says Pinsky. “Take a guy like Tom Cruise. Why would somebody be drawn into a cultish kind of environment like Scientology? To me, that’s a function of a very deep emptiness and suggests serious neglect in childhood – maybe some abuse, but mostly neglect.”

Oh no!  Don’t get Tom Cruise going on mental health…we know where that argument goes.  Dr. Drew later apologized after Tom’s rep called him grotesquely unprofessional.  Yeah.  Like it will end here.  Any bets on when Tom goes on TV and opens his mouth??  What does Katie think?
