Tila Tequila thinks she is doing the world a great service. Actually, she’s giving herself a LOT more credit than she deserves in regards to gay marriage in California.
Tila recently did an interview with US Magazine and told them she was responsible for lifting the ban on gay marriages! Can you believe it?!? This is what she said:
“It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement… Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships],” she said. “Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal.”
Is she that full of herself? Does she not remember that gays were allowed to marry for a brief while a few years ago, when she was just a blip on the MySpace pages? Who is going to bust her bubble and tell her she isn’t that important? Two seasons of a bisexual lovefest on MTV didn’t change the legislator’s minds.

You know what really helps make this argument? The three press photos of Tila Tequila on the runway. People love to talk trash about her but boy, they do like printing her picture.
