She’s born in Newport Beach, California. Beard made her first Olympic appearance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games at the age of 14. In 2003 she became the world champion and world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke.
Amanda’s modeling work has included some controversial appearances in FHM, the 2006 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and she posed for the July 2007 issue of Playboy.
