Kim rose to fame after her sex tape with ex-boyfriend, Ray J surfaced on the Internet. She was often known to be Paris Hilton’s buddy before rising to stardom.
Kim was born in Los Angeles the daughter of late attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner (née Houghton). Robert Kardashian, best known for being O. J. Simpson’s lawyer during his murder trial, died on September 30, 2003. Her mother, Kris, divorced Robert in 1989, and married former Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991.
Kardashian has two sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, and one brother, Robert. She also has stepbrothers Burton Jenner; Brandon Jenner; and reality TV star Brody Jenner; stepsister Casey Jenner; and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Kim was married to music producer Damon Thomas in 2000, their relationship ended in divorce in 2004. As of 2011, Kim and her NBA beau Kris Humphries are preparing their wedding which should take place in the summer.
