Justin Timberlake seems to be growing people.  Namely, the people who choose the people who all get to grow up and be award show hosts.

DListedsays that Justin is in the running to host the biggies - the be all and do all of award shows - The Academy Awards.  Ellen DeGeneres has hosted, Jon Stewart, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg…do you see a pattern here?  Comedians have hosted the very traditional award show that drags on for three plus hours in the winter. 

So why Timberlake?   Apparently, the Oscars need to attract a younger, hipper crowd and JT is the way to go.  He has hosted shows like MTV Movie and Music awards with some success.  If he is the host, will you watch?  Does it matter who hosts - you will watch the show no matter what?  I’ll watch it no matter what and if I hate the host, the mute button works fine.
