Katie Holmes has a new short hairdo as she arrives at the rehearsal of her Broadway play “All My Sons” in Manhattan. Mrs. Tom Cruise actually looks pretty good with her new hair style, do you agree?

In case you didn’t know, Katie is currently in Manhattan rehearsing her upcoming Broadway play. Funny how said didn’t reprise her Batman Begins role in the Batman sequel, The Dark Knight. It’s turning out to be a hugh box office success. She did say that there’s a scheduling conflicts.
But sources close to the production told the Wall Street Journal Holmes pulled out of the project earlier this month, turning down a salary estimated at between $1 million and $2 million—an increase over the roughly $1 million she was believed to have earned for Batman Begins.
“We never got to the negotiating stage,” Holmes’ spokeswoman, Julie Polkes, told the Wall Street Journal. “Katie was offered [Dark Knight], but was unable to accept the role because of scheduling conflicts. She was in the process of negotiating for another project. In addition, when she returns to work, she would like to tackle a new character.”

As for scheduling conflicts, she must be referring to her role in the recent low-budget crime caper Mad Money, opposite Queen Latifah.
Perhaps her Broadway play will turn out to be a big hit. Then again, does it matter? She’s Tommy’s girl. The play will officially open October 16 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in NYC.
