Tropic Thunder managed to pull in over $26 million to topple Dark Knight from its #1 spot. Tropic Thunder also has Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise in it. That’s a lot of star power!
The movie also drew up some controversy, for mentioning a ‘slur’ retard in the dialogue. That may have encouraged people to want to see it over the swimming pool records at the Olympics. Do you agree with the protesters that retard shouldn’t be used and is just as damaging?
