Burke was born as the first of nine children. She has Jewish, Irish, French and Portuguese ancestry. She studied broadcast journalism at UCLA and started as a model in the entertainment business.  She was signed to some very top modeling agencies including the renowned Ford Models Agency.

Burke is known for hosting Wild On!, a popular travel series on the E! Entertainment TV. Burke has appeared nude during her modeling years and posed naked for Playboy magazine but in 2001 and 2004. She’s also appeared in various other men’s magazines namely FHM, Maxim and Stuff.

In 2007, Burke started company called Baboosh Baby, which offers wraps for pregnant women. Brooke is pairing up with Derek Hough in the Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars which premiered on September 22, 2008.
