John McCain’s been dodging a lot of his responsibilities as of late. For starters, he’d like to put his campaign on hold, and for seconds he bowed out on his Letterman appearance last night. The Letterman camp was not about to take this lying down. Nobody, especially candidates for the presidency, leave the couch empty. Letterman sent his spy dogs out on the trail, and found McCain conducting an interview with Katie Couric while he was supposedly “on a plane to Washington D.C. to fix the economy.”

McCain is absent on Letterman

Letterman goes on to say something doesn’t “smell right” in McCain’s campaign, and makes backhanded comments about Sarah Palin’s experience. Ouch. Johnny boy, looks like you’ve just lost yourself a vote. I think we can safely count David Letterman in the Obama camp.
