Leighton Meester Biography
Biography: Leighton Meester: birth name: Leighton Marissa Claire Meester; born on April 9, 1986 in Texas; height: 5 feet 5 (165 cm); Zodiac Sign: Aries. Meester is best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in the CW TV series Gossip Girl.
Meester was born in a Texas prison while her mother, Connie Meester was doing time for a drug related crime. Meester became interested in acting when she first appeared in a local production of The Wizard of Oz. She moved to New York city at the age of nine and began modeling.
Beside her role in Gossip Girl, Leighton has been doing other TV series as well as films including popular TV series Veronica Mars and Entourage. Meester will be reprising her role of Justine Chapin on Entourage in season five.
As for singing, Leighton is working on her debut album which is expected to be released in 2009. She will be writing most of the songs herself.
Meester is named the Fall TV’s hottest star by FHM in September, 2008 beating Hayden Panettiere from Heroes and Madeline Zima from Californication!
