Barack Obama’s camp gave Lindsay Lohan the “Thanks, but no thanks” brush off. LiLo had hopes of hosting a slew of Obama events in hopes of attracting younger voters, but Obama’s team wasn’t about to take the risk.

Instead they diplomatically stated:

”(Lindsay) is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us.”

Ouch. As seen in a round-up of blog posts, LiLo and girlfriend Samantha Ronson are as liberal as they are lezzie, but unfortunately Obama was worried someone may trick Lindsay into wearing the “coke pants” the day of the event. Which everyone decided would be rather embarrasing. Organizers were also worried about the inevitable awkwardness following an aide taking her “water bottle” away mid-event.

But, you know, I’m sure it was nothing personal.
