Reports have surfaced Miley Cyrus has been tapped to play a high school Carrie Bradshaw in the upcoming Sex and the City prequel…Sex Behind the Bleachers. No, that isn’t what it’s called (but that would be hawwwt).
Candace Bushnell is working on a pair of young adult novels that chronicle a teenage Carrie pre- Sex, and thinks Miley would make the perfect little future columnist. According to Bushnell, Carrie in high school:
“…did not follow the crowd—she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene.”
This is a terrible idea. Miley Cyrus? She barely resembles Sarah Jessica Parker. Why not hold a casting call and give a nice, large-nosed girl from Nowheresville, USA a shot? Why must they turn this into an extended Disney-fied mess? What’s next—Zac Efron as young Mr. Big? Cameos by Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez?
This is going straight to DVD. I can feel it.
