Shia grew up in California, he has described his parents as hippies. His father as “tough as nails and a different breed of man”and his upbringing as similar to a “hippy lifestyle” He stated that his parents were “pretty weird people but they loved me and I loved them.”

LaBeouf started performing  stand-up and “talking dirty” at comedy clubs at the age of ten. LaBeouf has said that he first became an actor because his family was broke not because he wanted to pursue an acting career. He became well known among young audiences after playing Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel weekly program Even Stevens.

Besides being talented and aggressive, the young actor academic brains as well. He was accepted to Yale University after high school but declined. He later on remarked that later remarking that he is “getting the kind of education you don’t get at school. ”

LaBeouf bought his own two-bedroom house at the age of 18. Being broke is history now. Shia has done numerous big budgeted films in 2007 and 2008 namelyThe Transformers, Disturbia, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls and Eagle Eye. By the way, these are all legendary film producer and director, Steven Spielberg’s babies.
