We reported yesterday that Angelina Jolie will be appearing on the cover of W magazine November issue while breastfeeding. The photos were taken by Brad Pitt personally in mid-August. The source reveals “It’s really beautiful and tastefully done.” Here’s the long-waited for W magazine cover photo.

I can’t help but post some photos from W magazine July 2005 of Brad and Angelina promoting their then movie Mr. and Mr. Smith. They weren’t official together then. We all know Rumor has it that the spark between these two gorgeous megastars happened while they were filming the movie. Who could have blamed them? They make such a beautiful couple! I have teary eyes.. perhaps it’s the darn market crash that’s doing that to me. Okay, things aren’t so bad, chins up - storms never last! We’re here to entertain you - smile you’re on camera!

Thank the Godess there’s a Hollywood star out there who’s also willing to put herself up as a milky earth mother - soft, gentle and an incredibly beautiful shot.
This is especially important after issues in the past year with Facebook and MySpace banning photos and disabling accounts of mothers with breastfeeding photos on their accounts/pages. This is the sort of PR that breastfeeding and motherhood deserves rather than the ridiculous and destructive photos and articles about ‘yummy mummys’ and the amount of weight celebs have lost after their babies and how many weeks they’re bodies snap back into form.
I remember when Demi Moore appeared naked and pregnant on the cover of a major magazine - which caused shock waves - prior to that pregnant women just did not do that! I hope this too creates positive shock waves throughout the western worlds and more women take the time and effort to breastfeed their babies as a result.
