Lauren Conrad appeared on David Letterman last night and he asked if she may be the reason behind the many conflicts on The Hills. When the topic of Heidi and LC’s famed feud was broached, she responded that it wasn’t just Heidi but the entire cast that can’t seem to keep the cat claws in. David Letterman then asked: “It raises the question…I mean, maybe you’re the problem….?”

While it was a normal Dave Letterman insult veiled in self-deprecating humor (he quickly flipped the jab to his own social problems). In response, Lauren Conrad looked genuinely caught off guard, and giggled in that nauseating California shriek we’ve grown to hate.
To further the T.V. brilliance for all of us sick and tired of The Hills (but can’t stop blogging about them), Letterman called Spencer a “weasel” who is “just the worst” and wondered out loud what on God’s green, fluffy earth Brody Jenner does to earn his keep.
While Lauren scrambled for an answer, his final zinger: “If there was no television this guy [Brody] would be living in a tree.”
Nobody knows what that means, but Brody Jenner really should thank the heavens above for his frat boy looks and (marginal amount of douchy) charm. While a conversation with him might be torture, he serves his purpose quite well behind the glare of my T.V.
