Madonna’s good pal Gwyneth Paltrow advised her to not get divorced for the sake of the children, The Daily Mail is reporting.

Gwyneth is said to have advised her friend to think long and hard about the effects a divorce from the film director will have on Rocco, eight, adopted David Banda, two, and Lourdes, Madonna’s 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. 

Of course, Madonna did whatever the hell she wanted to and probably told Gwynnie to put a sock in it. From these reports, though, it appears Gwyneth got a little snappy with Madge and told her to not “be an idiot” (!!!!) and let the marriage fall apart. But, really, it’s all for selfish reasons. She wants Madonna in the boring Mom camp with her and not the hot cougar she was born to be.

Madonna becoming single again is Gwyneth’s worst nightmare. Overnight, they’d go from having everything in common to almost nothing. I don’t think their friendship could survive, especially if Madonna is the one who forces the split.”

Oh God! What is this high school? “I’m not going to be friends with you if you break up with Bobby!”. Let’s all say a pray that Madge and Gwynnie remain bosom buddies before we go to bed tonight. Heh.
