Amy Winehouse returned to the London hospital she left last Friday for ongoing treatment. Hm, suspicious. Amy was released last week after treating a chest infection. Wow, a few years of heavy smoking (cigarettes, crack, and everything in between) can lead a 25-year-old into the same amount of medical treatment as your run-of-the-mill geriatric. Amy had premature “scarring of the lungs” earlier this year. Yikes!

The only cure for her 80-year-old ailments? A source said she’s been told to shelve the ciggies for good. Baby steps, baby steps. Cigarettes today, Amy’s cottoncandy tomorrow, and eventually she’ll ween herself off the crack pipe. Maybe.

She’s also working on some phantom upcoming album. It’s sort of like the Winehouse version of Chinese Democracy, who knows when she’ll get it out to the masses. She’s also experimenting with the drums this time.

Interesting. Her wise band rep Chris Goodman added: “We’ll have to see how that plays out on the next album.”
