Lynn Spears is doing the press rounds for her memoir, Through the Storm, and told reporters Britney Spears is a “great mother.” Hah! Let’s just ignore the fact Brit Brit has yet to regain custody of her sons, but since Papa Spears has put the clampdown, the Spears clan is working on overdrive to reshape her reputation:

Sometimes you have to just settle down. You have to stop, think. And there’s a lot of people that care about Britney and love Britney – and Britney’s doing great now. Oh she’s a wonderful mother – she’s funny, she’s extremely affectionate. [At] home, where there’s nobody around, she’s very normal.” as told to People magazine

The only problem with that last quote are the words “when there’s nobody around.” There is always somebody around Brit Brit these days. I envision guards in her bathroom to make sure she doesn’t break a window and escape after the toilet flushes.
