Jennifer Aniston told December’s Vogue that despite a divorce and a few unsuccessful tabloid romances, she considers herself “unbelievably lucky in love.” Instead of the bitter, cat lady most snarky bloggers like to imagine her, Jennifer comes across as a self-assured, eternal adolescent. It’s refreshing.

This whole ‘Poor lonely Jen’ thing, this idea that I’m so unlucky in love? I actually feel I’ve been unbelievably lucky in love…I’m right where I’m supposed to be. Whoever said everything has to be forever. That’s setting your hopes too high. It’s too much pressure. And I think if you put that pressure on yourself … that’s unattainable. I never liked Sex and the City, the kind of thing where women only feel empowered once they find the Man. It is just not up my alley. I don’t believe in it.”

She also talks about Vince Vaughn bringing her back from the dead after Brad Pitt the manewhore ran off with that Angelina Jolie monster.

I call Vince my defibrillator. He literally brought me back to life … He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together.”

What about that youngbuck John Mayer she couger-ed? Where does he fit into the equation?

I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that’s where it is. – as reports by US magazine
