Has Jessica Simpson been blacklisted by head honchos within the Country Music Association? She released a country album this summer, she’s been opening at country concerts and she even wears cowgirl boots!  So why wasn’t she at the prestigious Country Music Awards on Wednesday night?

Maybe it’s because she has no talent.  TMZ says she wasn’t asked to present an award, she wasn’t asked to perform.  Heck, she wasn’t even nominated for best newcomer!  Ouch.

Oh, and there was the little deal with her boyfriend Tony Romo’s ex Carrie Underwood being the host.  Do you think Carrie banned her or Jess stayed away because of it?

Personally, I don’t think she got an invitation because she isn’t any good.  If her music was good, she would be welcomed as a crossover.  Kid Rock and Lil’ Wayne performed! Talk about crossovers.
