Salma Hayek recently told reporters she’s addicted to breastfeeding. No worries, Salma—we’ve all got our vices. In the same vain some Hollywood actors complain about cigarettes or hookers, she says she just “can’t stop”!

Me thinks she’s going to have to call it quits eventually, no? Salma also still feels like a cow after popping out her baby girl Valentina in September of 2007 and thinks the myth that woman lose weight while breastfeeding is a bunch of rubbish.
The myth that says you lose all this weight when you breastfeed! That is so not true! It’s like, please, will everyone stop telling me I look really well.”

One difference between being addicted to breastfeeding and being an alcoholic is that in the former it’s not completely up to you! You can’t force a baby to breastfeed. Most babies are happy to do it though because biology and evolution tells them that they should be breastfeeding a minimum of two years.
Hopefully, Hayek and her lovely baby will be one of the lucky mommy/baby teams who get to reach at least two years–maybe even beyond.
