Amy Winehouse’s soon to be ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil admits he’s probably the reason she’s so strung out on crack, heroin, and cocaine. In a recent interview, Blake cried crocodile tears about introducing Winehouse to the hard stuff. Without him, he says, she wouldn’t be the decrepit, drug-addled punchline she is today.

He then tried to say he’s ending the marriage to save her life. Uh huh. I’m sure cheating with that German model, Sophie Schandorff, had NOTHING to do with it, and Amy banging her manager’s assistant was right as rain as well.

Blaaake told The News of the World:

I dragged Amy into it and without me there is no doubt that she would never have gone down that road. I ruined something beautiful. Now I have to let her go to save her life. I am not abandoning her. I am doing this out of love. The first time Amy took crack she asked me, ‘Can I try a bit of that’ Crack is the nastiest drug. It makes you paranoid, unreasonable, edgy and totally suspicious of everyone. And you can get hooked on it straight away. But I was weak and an addict and I let Amy take some.”

He said Amy was just a happy little pothead before he had her inhaling the rock fumes. He’s also “addicted to Amy” most of all, and if anything horrible happens he’s going to off himself. Ugh. Good to see we’re all playing with a full deck here, and this is a fantastic way to extend your rehab stay, Blaaake. Does this mean Amy’s no longer your personal drug pigeon?
