Matthew McConaughey’s lady love, Camila Alves is supposedly a lazy purse promoter. After popping out the McConaughey-Alves hybrid, Camila decided she wanted to become a handbag designer! Her mother slaved away handmaking each bag, prices them between $1,000-$2,000 a pop (WOWZA!) and then Camila does nothing to promote the brand or line. Trendy boutique Kitson is pissed off that the overpriced duds are “clogging” their shelves.

The source swears, “Kitson will never work with her again,” especially after Alves refused to do an in-store appearance and instead promoted her bags at a competitor’s location. “That store bought four bags from her,” our insider fumed. “We bought dozens . . . A celebrity brand requires that the face behind the product work to sell it. Nobody has ever heard of her or her brand.”
Celebrity? Since when is Camila Alves a celebrity?! A slow news day is the only reason why searching for Camila pics and spellchecking her name.
Of coure the Camila camp says this is all a load of bullhooey. Her purses are selling wonderfully everywhere else. It must be something in the air at Kitson.
