Eddie Murphy might be the Riddler for the next Batman installment. I hope the emphasis is on the MIGHT because I really can’t seem him in that role.  And I can’t imagine why Christopher Nolan (Director) would pick someone of Eddie’s….caliber.

Heath Ledger was awesome as the Joker.  Aaron Eckhart was good as Two Face.  But I can’t see Eddie with a string of flops under his belt being the Riddler. Can you?  The Sun Online reports:

The Beverly Hills Cop star, 47, has been signed up by British director Christopher Nolan to reprise the role played by Jim Carrey in 1995’s Batman Forever.

And also:

Execs have also signed up rising Transformers star Shia LaBeouf, 22, to play Robin.  Brit Rachel Weisz is said to be up for the Catwoman role.

Rachel Weisz would be a good choice.  What happened to Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin?  Johnny Depp?  I would love to see those names in the movie.  You?
