George Clooney was recognized in Berlin for his work in Darfur. He in turn presented the Golden Heart award to other aid workers in the region because he said they deserved it and did so much more than him.  George also worked in the region with Don Cheadle and Brad Pitt.

George certainly looks good dressed up even if he didn’t want the award.  This is what he tells Bild about the honor:

You know, people are just too nice to me. If I had something to do with the end of the Sudan conflict then OK. But it’s not over, we haven’t been successful yet. Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Brad Pitt and I – sometimes we accept prizes in order to maintain a platform for our causes. But when I was honoured by the Noble Peace Prize Laureates last year, I found it underserved. That is why I want to hand over the ‘Golden Heart’ to people who risk their lives everyday.

He’s handsome, humble and has a cause.  Hollywood should follow his example!  George also talks about other evil places of the world and what he has seen.  Truly unbelievable and courageous on his part.  If you had the means, would you travel to places like George has and witness the violence firsthand?
