Simon Cowell has said Britney Spears would be his “first pick” as a judge on “American Idol.” It’s no secret Simon has a somewhat cultivated fascination with Britney. Even though Spears lip synched her way through last month’s X-Factor performance—causing outrage and mixed reviews- Cowell said the publicity for the show was “extraordinary.”

The Sun is reporting Simon said:
And even with all that stuff that’s gone on with her the past two years, there was more excitement and interest in her than I’ve seen in anyone in years. She would be very, very welcome.”
Say what you will about Brit Brit, but the woman can create quite the media storm just by showing up. Simon is spot on, too. Britney as a a judge on “American Idol” would most certainly increase their ratings. Not only that, but she and Paula Abdul could share prescription pills too. Everybody wins!

eh no I do not wanna see her as a judge and you know what… Simon didnt say he wanted her as a judge on Idol. he said he may want her to Perform on Idol or be a mentor! thats something totally different.
Idol doesnt need more ratings. they are nr 1 and miss Paula also creates a media storm wherever she goes. so they already have that covered!
