Tara Reid’s rehab was a comped gift from Promises Center. At least certain sources think it was a comped gift, even though her family denies it.  Certain press releases say promises is hard up for clients due to the economic slump and needed high profile people to generate some business….

Supposedly promises sent out a release stating that high profile people would get free stays in return for PR of the center.  Star Magazine says:

“Enrollment is down due to the bad economy, so in an effort to drum up publicity, they asked around Hollywood to see who wanted to stay there for free,” says a source. Promises, which costs about $1,600 a night and has treated such celebs as Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, is giving Tara the VIP treatment. The 33 year-old gets to stay in a large room, and her incoming packages are not searched, like other guests.”

It makes sense…everyone needs a little PR from a star spokesmen…even the rehab joints!  I’m surprised this didn’t leak out earlier.  And Tara was definitely in need of some rehab.
