Zooey Deschanel is engaged to rocker Ben Gibbard from Death Cab. The pair were rumored to have been engaged a while ago, but now it is official. Or more official, since a source confirms it and not Zooey’s rep.

Zooey and Ben have been dating for over a year now. It seems that Ben popped the question before Christmas and the news didn’t leak out until now. From People Magazine:
The actress and singer, 28, and Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard, 32, who is also in the indie band the Postal Service, got engaged before the holidays, a source confirms.
So, that’s all the boring news for now. No details of how it happened. No details for a wedding either. Maybe Zooey and Ben will elope over New year’s!
