Geri Halliwell is engaged already. Already!  She’s only been with her Italian lover Fabrizio Politi for a month and he’s popped the big question.  Supposedly it happened while the two were vacationing – and caught in the act – on an exotic island paradise.

Geri has quite a string of men in her past.  She’s never been married and only dated the father of her daughter Bluebell for a short period.  According to The Sun:

They have only been together a few weeks for God’s sake, having just met in December at a Florence nightclub.

But the Italian stallion has wasted no time in making an honest woman of Geri.

Just as well on the honesty front, as Geri wasn’t very truthful when Bizarre asked about the good news after Christmas.

She denied it then, and has been wearing gloves a lot recently — something to hide perhaps? — but in a statement yesterday Geri’s management firm 19, said: “We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi.

At least it isn’t just US celebrities that lie to the press too.  It’s a worldwide phenom!  And isn’t the comment about gloves funny!  Duh, it’s winter time, everyone is wearing gloves.

Congratulations Geri and Fabrizio…hopefully this one will last.
