Joanna Pacitti who sang “We Belong” by Pat Benatar in last night’s Louisville, Kentucky audition of American Idol. She started to cry as she got an unanimous Yes – She’s on her way to compete in Hollywood! Joanna, 24 certainly has the voice and a track record that few Idol contestants have ever had.

Joanna Pacitti was born on October 6, 1984 in Philadelphia. She’s of Italian and Irish descent.
Joanna began signing at the age of 5 in her father’s barber shop. At 11, she joined the cast of musical Annie. Pacitti starred in 106 performances with the National Tour. Two weeks before the show was to hit Broadway, she became ill with bronchitis.
At the age of 16, Joanna was signed by A&M Records, she has appeared in movie soundtracks including Legally Blonde and Bratz.
Her most popular single is “Let It Slide” released by Geffen Records label which also produced her debut and only album, This Crazy Life in 2006.
Will Joanna have as much luck as Carly Smithson, who had a similar story? We will soon find out.
