Kate Hudson missed her presentation at the People’s Choice Awards last night because she was stuck in traffic. Duh. Hundreds of stars, agents, managers and wannabes flock to the same place at the same time and you don’t leave early?  Hello blondie.

Since Kate wasn’t there to present the award for Favorite Male Funny or something, Ellen Degeneres stepped in.  Per People Magazine, she said this:

Ellen Degeneres was a good sport as she presented the first award of the night, filling in for Kate Hudson whom, she said, was stuck in traffic and “40 minutes away.” Said DeGeneres with a laugh: “That’s no way to sell a movie.”

Did you watch the awards this year?  Were they any good? It seems like it was a precursor to the other awards shows, so that means The Dark Knight is probably going to clean up!
