Kate Winslet won Best Actress Award at the Golden Globes 2009 for her role in Revolutionary Road starring opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Winslet plays the role of a dissatisfied 1950s housewife in the movie. Winslet apologized to her husband, Road director Sam Mendes, for being so “mental at the end” and gave a shout-out to kids Joe and Mia. Kate also took home the Best Supporting Actress trophy for her role as a suspected Nazi in The Reader.

Oscar in sight for Kate? I think she’s drooling. She’s the youngest actress who’s ever racked up 5 Oscar nominations as of now. Oscar nominations will be anounced on the 22nd of January and you know Winslet will be nominated as for the big Oscar win, she definitely stands a great chance. Any thoughts?
