Bar Refaeli didn’t know about being on the cover of the Sport Illustrated Swimsuit edition until last night. And she found out about it via David Letterman, LIVE on his show. Bar was not a guest, but will be on Wednesday if you want to catch the show. It’s a good thing it was a nice surprise, huh. What if Bar would have been unhappy by it?

A lot of times these surprise announcements are by Jerry Springer type shows and they pull out baby mamas, unknown daddys and who knows what. This was a great surprise for Bar. No wonder why Leonardo DiCaprio can’t seem to let go of her! This is what Coed has to say:
As you may know, we at COED have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue cover model. But now the wait has come to an end. After hearing that the model would be first announced on tonight’s “Late Show with David Letterman”, we sent one of our editors over to the Ed Sullivan Theater during the filming to get the inside scoop.
And it turns out our hopes were correct; the 2009 SI Swimsuit Issue cover model is… Bar Refaeli!
Congratulations Bar! Do you think Leo will get jealous again and dump her or will it make him hold her a little closer?
