Barack Obama was forced to acknowledge Jessica Simpson’s weight controversy during an interview with Matt Lauer. Apparently the Obama’s shared a cover of US Weekly with Jessica Simpson where the editors cropped out Obama’s face to make room for Jessica in those infamous high-waisted jeans and leopard print belt, with the words “Weight Battle”. When Matt Lauer pointed this out, Obama jokingly admitted it was a little “hurtful.” (Watch video below)

Wow. Even during an interview with the president while the economy is in shreds, the country is at war, and we’re on the brink of passing a historically high bailout package, Jessica Simpson still manages to squeeze her way into the periphery. Absolutely amazing. Somewhere Papa Joe is smiling.

this is rediculous, he didn’t call her fat. he’s making a comment on how the media says whatever they want and makes up stories.
its said with sarcasm!
I thought he was more professional than this, he’s going to make fun of Jessica’s weight? she looks like an average person. He has already put his foot in his mouth a couple times. Nobody makes fun of Michelle’s big teeth or the way she looks, take a look at some of the pictures she has taken. she’s not exactly pretty. He needs to worry more about the country than cracking jokes about people or the special olympics.william
