Beyonce took out an application to trademark her alter ego, Sasha Fierce. Why in the world would someone do that? Marketing, baby! Beyonce and her business brain has plans to make big money off of the Sasha Fierce collection.

Beyonce has a two page trademark application filed on 9/11/2008 according to US Gov docs.
Beyonce or her lawyers paid the $325 fee to file so they can have exclusive rights to:

*IDENTIFICATION BOOKS, POSTERS, PROGRAMS, COMIC BOOKS
FILING BASIS SECTION 1(b)
A comic book? Programs? Is Beyonce thinking TV, movies or cartoons? Either way, very interesting and smart on her part. Plus there is a lot of gobbledy gook with phone numbers, addresses, lawyer names and red tape. No real details as to their plans – bummer! Good luck!
