Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ditched the Oscar Nominees luncheon on Tuesday. They were too busy promoting movies or looking at orphanages or something. No, seriously, there was a lunch and most of the big names attended, with the exception of Brad and Angie.

Maybe the glorious duo of Brangelina figures they’ve been shut out thus far during awards season, why bother? Nah, they were supposedly in Asia and appearing at premieres of their respective movies that they are nominated in. Reuters said:
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, nominated for best supporting actress playing a fiery painter in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” said that when she was nominated she received so many congratulatory calls that her cell phone simply “collapsed.” It quit because it was overloaded. ”I took it to repair and they said they couldn’t fix it because they’d never see that happen before,” she said.
Bummer. But what about Brad and Angie? No one but the media people and photographers noticed they were absent I guess. The other stars are tired of them getting all the attention!
