Michigan State University football star athlete, Brad Van Pelt died suddenly Tuesday in his California home. Brad was just 58. It is believed Van Pelt suffered a heart attack. About Brad Van Pelt, full name Brad Alan Van Pelt (April 5, 1951- February 18, 2009 ) was a football linebacker who played fourteen seasons in NFL.

Brad played for the New York Giants from 1973 to 1983, the Los Angeles Raiders from 1984 to 1985, and the Cleveland Browns in 1986. He was selected to the Pro Bowl five times from 1976 to 1980. Brad is the father of former Denver Broncos and Houston Texans quarterback Bradlee Van Pelt.
