Jessica Simpson fired her band and is taking a year off from making music. Hmmm.  I think there might be more to it than that.  Maybe, her ‘country’ music wasn’t taking off, the fans didn’t adore her, she can’t sing under pressure and she didn’t like gaining weight.

Jessica used to have a great body, which in hindsight is what launched her career.  MTV did her newlywed show and highlighted her dumb blonde antics and the now ex-husband Nick Lachey.  Yeah, she made a bunch of money in the Dukes of Hazzard Movie, but it wasn’t because of her acting skills, it was the body again.  From Lainey Gossip:

Am told by sources exclusively that Jessica Simpson fired her band last week after suspending the tour. She’s taking a year off. Which essentially means the label doesn’t want her, that country music doesn’t want her, that she needs to find something else to do.

And if it’s up to her father that could mean making money representing weight loss companies.

Girl, don’t do it.

Do you think it’s legit?  I can see where she is taking a year off from singing, but do you have to fire your band to do that?  By firing the band, isn’t that in a way blaming them for her failure to succeed in the country biz?
