Kanye West says he’s devastated about the alleged assault between Chris Brown and Rihanna. Kanye, who toured with Rihanna last year says he views the singer like a little sister and was “devastated” during his performance of “American Boy” with Estelle. How come even when Kanye West shows soft, human side he still comes across as sort of an arrogant bafoon. Just read how Kanye somehow drives the whole Rihanna situation back to himself.

He told Ryan Seacrest:

“Rihanna is so important to our culture … to pop music…I feel like she is the most important artist in music and has the most potential. Her taste level and her age … she has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time. In that sense, I feel like that’s my baby sis…I would do any and everything to help her in any situation.”

And it’s also nice to hear that Kanye thinks people who work at McDonald’s should get the same basic human rights as a multi-million dollar pop artist.

All I want to say is, it’s so devastating. Just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s … [abuse] should never happen. It should never come to that place.”

While we 100% agree with Kanye, why even address that? Of course nobody deserves to be abused. Ugh. He just rubs us the wrong way.
