Michael Phelps won’t face drug charges from South Carolina. The former golden boy of the world got off with a bunch of bad PR instead of time in jail or a record for marijuana. Michael dodged a big bullet if you ask me.

Michael is much luckier than the other 8 people who were charged in the incident. Why did he get off? fame? Maybe. this is what Bloomberg News says:
Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps won’t face legal prosecution after being photographed smoking from a bong at a college party and getting a three-month swimming ban.
Sheriff Leon Lott of Richland County, South Carolina, said there wasn’t enough evidence to charge Phelps, who won a record eight gold medals in Beijing in 2008. A photograph taken at a South Carolina college party in November showed Phelps inhaling from a water pipe, which is commonly used to smoke marijuana.
“We had a photo and him saying he was sorry for inappropriate behavior,” Lott said during a televised press conference. “He never said, ‘I smoked marijuana.’ We didn’t have physical evidence.”
Ahhhha! So that’s why the statement was carefully worded. Michael says sorry, but never admits to anything and gets off. Brilliant.
