Nicollette Sheridan is leaving Desperate Housewives. A rumor leaked to E!’s Marc Malkin that she told the girls, writers and directors during their 2 p.m. table read. No word on what project she’s working on where she’s going after she shoots her last scene with DH, but, snitches working behind the scenes think they know how the writers will kill off Edie.

According to E!’s Marc Malkin via a source on set:
[Nicollette said] Bye, it was really nice working with everybody. It’s been terrific and a real honor. Then.. all said, ‘Bye,’ and she said, ‘I have a scene to go do, so let me go study that.’ And that was that. Totally professional. [They plan to kill her off with] an accident…At the very end of [the latest script], she falls to the ground and there’s a loose finger…I’m reading [the script] thinking, Wait a minute—does this mean what I think it means?”
Well, guess this spells the end of the road for Wisteria Lane’s Edie Britt! It’s been nice knowing ya Edie!

If Nicollette Sheridan is leaving “Desperate Housewives”, who will take her place for the sixth season? I have a list of candidates to replace Nicollette, and they are as follows: Carmen Electra, Denise Richards, Terry Farrell, Pamela Anderson, Brooke Shields, Demi Moore and Lucy Liu.
I think Natasha Henstridge would be a great choice to replace her….even as her younger sister somehow….
