Madonna is planning on bringing Jesus Luz to the Oscars. An avant-garde designer dress and handbag combo is just too passe for Madge, she wants to bring a 22-year-old model turned Kaballah enthusiast Jesus as her accessory. OK! magazine is reporting the two have been busy at work all week planning for the event and the Vanity Fair party afterward.

Jessica Alba has won more awards for her bad acting—this time though she won a Lazzie, which is Latina magazine’s version of the Razzie’s. Go Jessica! You can’t act! Ra! Ra! Latina magazine launched these awards to, er, honor Hispanic actors and actresses who have done a miserable job. The names of some of their categories are actually super funny, too.

The Wall Street Journal pointed out an interesting trend today that many, many women have earned their Oscar nods playing strippers or hookers. Marisa Tomei, for her role in The Wrestler, represents the cliche this year, but there have been many, many before her. Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Julia Roberts, and Nicole Kidman to name a few.

While it may not be the most joyous of all days for the singer, Rihanna‘s friends were sweet enough to take out a birthday ad in the local newspaper, The Nation News. Rihanna was rumored to be back in Barbados recovering from her public squabble from Chris Brown.
