Amy Winehouse was denied yet another US Visa for performing at the Coachella Festival. The singer who is thought to be rehabbed was anticipating a glorious performance at the festival which has huge names attend and sing.  Well, the others manage to keep their noses clean and their hands to themselves.

Why wasn’t Amy allowed a Visa?  because she was charged with assaulting a fan last week.  The US already has enough trouble with fans, so why let in a performer who abuses them?  From the Telegraph:

The 25-year-old singer – who was charged with common assault last week – will no longer appear at April’s Coachella festival.

She had been a headline act along the likes of The Killers, Sir Paul McCartney and Morrissey at the California spectacular, which is attended by around 75,000 fans.

Her spokesman told the Daily Mirror: “She is not appearing at Coachella this year in the light of current legal issues.”

The singer was said to be “absolutely gutted” at the development.

As well the thousands of fans, legions of top record executives are expected to visit Coachella. It would have been her biggest US show to date.

Winehouse – whose Back To Black album is a multi-million seller – was last week charged with assaulting a woman in Berkeley Square, Westminster, on September 26.
